This impressive £5 coin was issued by Jersey in 2021 to mark the 300^th anniversary of the appointment of Great Britain’s first Prime Minister – Sir Robert Walpole. 

This is the first ever coin issued to mark this important figure in British history, so is an absolute must-have for any collector with an interest in British history.

The official £5 coin features an exclusive portrait of Sir Robert Walpole, specially commissioned to mark the 300th anniversary.

It has been struck to the highly collectable Proof finish – the highest grade of finish found on collectable coins. This coin has been produced using a specially prepared die which strikes the coin several times to create a high quality frosted and mirrored finish and enhanced definition.
