2010 Olympic Countdown £5

This is the second of four coins issued for the 2012 Olympic Games. The reverse design features a runner set against the number 2 of the 3,2,1 countdown to the games.

This £5 coin was the second of four, issued by The Royal Mint in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic Games.

Released in 2010, the design features the number ‘2’, representing the end of the 1, 2, 3 countdown of years to the London 2012 Olympics. The number is set against a runner, and the Official London 2012 logo also features in the design.

This coin is no longer available from The Royal Mint and, due to the difficulty in sourcing this issue, stocks are incredibly limited.
