The Reflections of a Reign Concorde 24ct Gold-Plated Photographic Coin

Ahead of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning monarch in 2015, this stunning photographic coin was issued in 2014 to serve as a celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s glorious 60 year reign.

David Cornell’s portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II looks over a full colour illustration of the Supersonic Concorde which had its maiden flight during the Queen's reign in 1969, creating the sense of the Queen reflecting on her lifetime.

And indeed that was the very purpose of this coin, as it was issued as part of a series of coins entitled Reflections of a Reign.

David Cornell’s portrait of the Queen is of the highest quality – something that you would expect from the man chosen by the Royal Mint to sculpt the most recognisable of all faces, Princess Diana.

The coin itself has been struck to a full crown diameter of 2½ inches (38.61mm) and is finished with perfect 24-carat Gold Plating.  The final addition of colour brings the design to life. Issued by Guernsey in 2014, the coin of course was fully approved by Buckingham Palace and the Queen and the stock remaining is strictly limited.
