Winston Churchill First Day Stamp Cover

On 10 May 1940, Winston Churchill claimed one of the most important jobs in Great Britain. As Hitler’s forces overwhelmed the British position, Churchill utilised political and military tactics, along with spectacular leadership and oration that ultimately lead to the British success in World War II.

This Commemorative First Day Cover was issued in 2010 and features a British 1st Class Stamp depicting Winston Churchill inspecting troops as part of the 'Britain Alone' commemorative stamps series issued by Royal Mail as a reminder of the extraordinary efforts of the ordinary people of Britain during World War II.
