Prince Philip Historic Coin and Stamp Collection

Prince Philip was the longest serving consort of a British Monarch. He served in the Royal Navy throughout the Second World War and has a colourful list of achievements from his 70 years of public service. You can now pay tribute to the Prince with the Prince Philip Historic Coin and Stamp Collection.

The UK 2021 Prince Philip £5 Coin

The Royal Mint have released a special commemorative £5 to honour the life of Prince Philip. The coin features a special portrait designed by Ian Rank Broadley – and Prince Philip even had a say in the design, approving it himself in 2008.

Of the thousands that will be issued, just 295 have been set aside to be included in this special tribute collection. What’s more, each one is struck to Brilliant Uncirculated Condition, so it’s free from the blemishes and scratches you would find on the coins in your change.

Two Historic UK £5 Coins Dedicated to Prince Philip

Each UK 2021 £5 has been set alongside two historic £5 coin issues, both released to mark two significant points in Prince Philip’s life, and both completely sold out at The Royal Mint.

The UK 2017 Prince Philip £5 was issued to mark the Prince’s retirement from public duty and an incredible 70 years of service. It has also been issued in Brilliant Uncirculated quality.

The UK 1997 Golden Wedding Anniversary £5 has also been sourced for this collection, showing both the Prince and Queen Elizabeth II. The design broke tradition when it showed a double portrait.

Commemorative Diamond Wedding Miniature Sheet Stamps

Issued in 2007 to commemorate Prince Philip and The Queen’s 60th wedding anniversary, this colourful miniature sheet shows photographs of the Prince throughout his life.

Limited to JUST 295 Collections

Given the popularity of these historic commemoratives among collectors, it has proven very hard to build up a large number. Because of the limited availability only 295 sets will be issued. That means that ONLY 295 collectors will be able to add this set to their collection and pay tribute to the late Prince.

That’s a strict edition limit. No more will be released in this special presentation, so if you’d like to add this historic commemorative to your collection, you’ll need to be quick.
