Own a genuine piece of military history - Less than 30 remaining

As the first Christmas of the war in 1914 approached, there was a natural desire to give a token of appreciation to those on the front line.

And so, on 15 October 1914, Princess Mary, King George V’s daughter, launched her Christmas Gift Fund asking the public: “I want you now to help me send a Christmas present from the whole nation to every sailor afloat and every soldier at the front.”

And today you have the chance to own a genuine piece of WWI Military history with an original Princess Mary Tin, complete with extremely sought after 1918 dated Silver coins.

The tins that survived the trenches

These beautiful brass Christmas tins were distributed to British service personnel, in accordance with Princess Mary’s wishes.

What’s impressive is that even though a large number of these tins were subsequently damaged in the war, with many being blown apart by shells or rusting away in the wet conditions in the trench, those that have survived have their own story.

They are also fascinating historical artefacts – each tin is totally unique and may have even been there in the trenches 100 years ago protecting a young tommy’s keepsakes.

Limited number of historic tins available

The boxes that have survived are now distinctive mementoes of the First World War, and we have managed to build up a stock of these remarkable piece to offer collectors.

However we only have a limited number of these tins available. Each tin includes 5 sought after silver coins, all from 1918: the Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence and Threepence.

But with such a limited number available you will need to act very quickly to be in with a chance of owning this unique piece of military history.
