Celebrate one of the most defining features of Her Majesty's reign

Her Majesty’s role as Head of the Commonwealth has been one of the defining features of her reign.

And one the most iconic symbols of her commitment to the Commonwealth is her Royal Standard – which is flown every time she visits Canada.

And now, in tribute to her Majesty's commitment to the Commonwealth it adorns a coin…

Pure silver flag-shaped tribute

This is the first time ever Her Majesty’s Royal Standard appears on a coin – and on a flag-shaped coin, no less!

Struck beautifully from 1.5oz Pure Silver, the design is steeped in heraldic tradition. Multiple different frostings are used to emphasise the majestic design of the lion and unicorn which flank the flag, whereas the Royal Standard is picked out with selective colour printing.

Overall it’s a true celebration of the deep connection Her Majesty holds with the Commonwealth.

The personal standard of Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada

The Royal flag consists of the Arms of Canada in banner form, featuring symbols of England, Scotland, Ireland and France – alongside the iconic national symbol of Canada, the maple leaf.

In the centre you’ll find Her Majesty’s device: a blue roundel with the letter “E” surmounted by the Royal Crown and framed by a gold wreath of Tudor roses which represents the 53 countries in the commonwealth.

Sure to be collector priority in years to come

Remarkably the Royal Canadian Mint have authorised JUST 3,000 coins to be available worldwide.

This is a surprising decision considering the wealth of history this coin represents, as a tribute to both Her Majesty and her role within the Commonwealth. For this fact alone we expect it to be highly sought-after amongst collectors of royalty issues, and a collector priority in years to come.

Even more so when you compare it to the flag-shaped 50th anniversary of the Canadian flag coin. The entire, far higher, 10,000 edition limit of this similar issue completely sold out!
