Stunning 1oz silver coin that's a must-have for coin and stamp collectors alike!
On June 14, 1919, British aviators John Alcock and Arthur Whitten Brown flew straight into the history books, as they completed the first transatlantic flight between Canada and the UK.
100 years later, to mark this ground-breaking achievement of both human courage and engineering, the Royal Canadian Mint issued a stunning silver proof stamp-inspired commemorative that’s sure to be a must-have for stamp and coin collectors alike…
Unique combined stamp and coin commemorative
Impeccably struck from one full ounce of .9999 pure silver to a Proof finish, this coin is at once a tribute to the first transatlantic flight, but also to historic Canadian stamps. It’s an incredibly unique commemorative.
Not only is the coin stamp-shaped but it also features a faithful colour-printed reproduction of one of Canada’s most popular stamps. The design made its debut in June 1969, when over 15 million stamps were issued to mark the 50th anniversary.
Now the design is replicated to mark the milestone centenary, and is available to collectors once again. But this time in a far more limited presentation.
Unavailable at the Mint – not enough to satisfy demand
JUST 5,000 single coins have been issued worldwide, making this sought-after coin a rare collectible.
When you consider the historic ties this coin has to both UK and Canada, it will come as no surprise that this coin is no longer available at the Mint. Looks like there wasn't enough coins to meet collector demand in one country, let alone both!
Limited number available for UK collectors
The good news is that as an Official Distributor for the Royal Canadian Mint we have a limited number of these popular coins remaining for UK collectors.
You can add it to your collection today for a deposit of JUST £25 (+p&p) followed by four further interest-free instalments.
But considering how desirable this issue is for both historic stamp and coin collectors alike, we do not expect our limited stock to last long. Act now while you can.
