BRAND NEW Silver £5 celebrating the British Red Cross

This year marks the historic 150th anniversary of the British Red Cross, and to celebrate 150 years of connecting human kindness with human crisis, The Royal Mint has issued a BRAND NEW UK Silver £5 coin.

Striking design

Perfectly struck from .925 Silver to a perfect proof finish, the bespoke design by Henry Gray perfectly captures the organisation’s credo of selflessness, compassion, and goodwill.

The iconic Red Cross emblem is captured in scarlet at the centre of the coin, making it a truly striking piece for any collection. This feature is sure to make this coin a future collecting priority because colour is very rarely seen on £5 coins.

JUST 4,000 available worldwide

What’s perhaps more important though, than its size and design, is its edition limit – JUST 4,000 worldwide.

Considering the global impact of The British Red Cross this issue is sure to attract worldwide attention. So much so that I suspect the tiny number of coins available – only 4,000 – will not be enough to meet demand. I expect a very swift sell out.

Especially when you consider that similar coloured issues, such as the very first UK Remembrance Day Silver £5, with a higher edition limit of 5,000, have completely SOLD OUT!

You can secure one today for the Royal Mint issue price of £90 (+p&p) and you can even choose to spread the cost across five interest-free monthly instalments with a deposit of JUST £18 (+p&p) today – just tick the instalment option at the checkout.

What’s more, a portion* of the sale of this coin will be donated to the British Red Cross by The Royal Mint on our behalf. This will help the organisation to continue its incredible work, in a year that’s proving to be extremely difficult for charities across the globe.

*3% of the net wholesale price from the sale of this commemorative coin will be paid to Britcross Limited (registered company number 00932598 in England and Wales; registered office address 44 Moorfields, London, EC2Y 9AL), a subsidiary of the British Red Cross Society (registered charity number 220949 in England and Wales and SCO37738 in Scotland), which makes an annual donation to the charity. The payments by The Royal Mint to Britcross Limited will be at least £3,500, and expected to total £28,000 across our British Red Cross commemorative coin campaign.
