Directly as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, the flagship bullion coin of the US – The Silver Eagle Dollar – is about to become a piece of history, and THE most in-demand coin in the WORLD…
How Covid-19 created the 2020(P) Emergency Silver Eagle
Bullion Silver Eagles, which have no mintmark, are normally struck at the US Mint’s West Point Mint in New York. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the West Point Mint was temporarily shut down, meaning no Silver Eagles could be produced.
In an unusual move, production of the Silver Eagles was temporarily picked up by the Philadelphia Mint. The result being a limited batch of Silver Eagles struck in under two weeks.
A piece of history - second RAREST Silver Eagle
Remarkably, JUST 240,000 Silver Eagles were struck by the Philadelphia Mint.
This is the second RAREST Silver Eagle coin to ever exist in the 34-year history of the bullion American Silver Eagle series. It is only the 2015(P) issue that is rarer, with a mintage of 79,640.
But it’s not simply the tiny mintage that makes this coin so collectable. This coin is a piece of history that typifies the unprecedented challenges and the world has faced during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a period of history that will talked about for generations to come, and this coin is an original piece of that history.
Secure yours today for JUST £25
The good news is that I’ve been able to secure a limited number of these rare coins for UK collectors, and you can secure one for your collection today for a deposit of JUST £25 (+p&p) followed by four further interest-free instalments.
Each one is encapsulated, boxed and certified by the American Numismatic Association Certification Service (ANACS), guaranteeing the provenance of the coin.
But considering how rare and significant this issue is, I do not expect the limited number I’ve secured to last long. Nor do I expect to be able to secure more – I’m certain the entire mintage will be snapped up in the US before we know it.
