The Erfoud Meteorite Strike Silver Coin

Brace yourself for impact as this is, without doubt, one of the finest examples of Smartminting© technology we’ve EVER seen.

The exact techniques used in Smartminting© are a fiercely guarded secret, however, the state of the art technology allows unprecedented levels of intricate detail on smaller coins and extraordinarily high relief on coins while only very slightly increasing the weight.

The shape of this coin would have been incredibly hard to strike, particularly how the mint have used an impacted strike to simulate the puncturing of the coin face by the meteorite fragment.

The level of relief on the surface of the coin is packed with detail that enhances the impression of a catastrophic impact and the resulting shockwave.

Featuring a Genuine Fragment of Meteorite

If that’s not enough, this incredible Silver coin features a fragment from a genuine Moroccan meteorite – NWA682. Watch the video to see it for yourself.

Struck from .999 Silver, the coin has been copper plated to reflect the natural colour of the Moroccan desert and partial colour applications highlight the crater relief.

The obverse has a similar level of detail and incorporates the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in a way that doesn’t detract from the finished article.

Just 75 Coins Available

From an edition limit of just 2,500 WORLDWIDE, we were able to source JUST 75 of these coins.

Previous meteorite coins have sold out and this example is by far the most complex and spectacular.
