Back-issue Royal Mint issues are extremely difficult to source, however today to mark the national day of Scotland, St. Andrew's Day, we have released a limited number of UK 1984/9 Scottish Silver Piedfort £1 coins to celebrate this significant day.
With a design featuring the Thistle (the national flower of the Scotland), today we are releasing a limited stock of just 67 from our vaults.
Extremely limited Silver Proof Piedfort
Piedfort coins are struck by The Royal Mint in extremely limited numbers and are minted to the same high standard as Silver Proof coins. However, there are a number of major differences. Piedforts contain twice as much silver and are twice the depth of the normal Silver Proof versions.
But, most importantly, their low edition limits – often less than half their standard silver counterpart – has meant that they are amongst the most exclusive and in demand coins issued by the United Kingdom.
67 currently available for UK collectors
We have worked hard to acquire a limited stock of Royal Mint Piedfort back-issues, which is why today you have the opportunity to own a Scotland Silver Piedfort £1.
What’s more, you can secure yours today with an initial payment of just £19 (+p&p) followed by 4 monthly interest-free instalments, but you’ll have to act quickly before our limited stock is all snapped up!
