Special 20th Anniversary design for UK’s most popular Silver Coin

Since its launch in 1997, the UK Silver Britannia has become one of the most famous Silver bullion coins in the world.

2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the 1oz Fine Silver Britannia and to mark the occasion the Royal Mint has released a new and radical design, which also features a unique one-year-only “Trident 20” Mint Mark.

Struck in 1oz 999/1000 Silver to a pristine Proof finish, this is one of the most collectable versions of the Silver Britannia ever issued.

The coin’s artist, Louis Tamlyn, has created a modern interpretation of the Britannia. Whilst the traditional Britannia as the female personification of Britain remains, this design reflects the recent political change in Britain and the attention it has drawn to our country.

The obverse features Jody Clark’s portrait of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Your Britannia comes in its official Royal Mint presentation box with a Certificate of Authenticity.

There will only ever be 7,500 of these one-year-only “Trident 20” Mint Mark Britannia’s ever issued. A tiny amount compared to the unlimited Silver bullion version, making this one of the most collectable versions of the Britannia issues.
