Each of the four coins in this set has been struck from Sterling Silver to a flawless Proof finish, and features a design inspired by key moments Pepys documented in his own words:

• Samuel Pepys’ Legendary Diary – depicts Pepys writing at his desk with the skyline of 17th-century London behind him. The design is based on his 1666 portrait by John Hayls.
• The Restoration of the Monarchy – features a design inspired by the Seal of King Charles II. Pepys witnessed the coronation in 1660 and maintained close ties with the royal court.
• The Great Plague (1665) – shows a scene from a plague-stricken London, with a coffin being moved past a house bearing the inscription “Lord Have Mercy on our Souls.” The imagery reflects original woodcuts and eyewitness testimony.
• The Great Fire of London (1666) – captures the panic and destruction as people flee the flames by boat, inspired by the famous woodcut and Pepys’ own harrowing diary entry.

Each set is presented in a luxury display case and includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its place in the worldwide edition.
