Own the Limited Edition House of Windsor Silver Proof 5oz

2017 marks Centenary of the House of Windsor and in commemoration of this significant milestone in British Royal history a new House of Windsor Silver 5oz Proof Coin has been issued.

The name was first adopted in 1917, during the First World War, by a proclamation from King George V. It replaced the historic name of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, and remains the family name of our current British Royal Family.

The name Windsor has had a long association with monarchy in Britain, through the town of Windsor, Berkshire, and Windsor Castle itself which features on the badge of the House of Windsor.

In fact, approved by Her Majesty the Queen, the coin’s design is inspired by Windsor Castle and features a depiction of the castle with the Royal Standard flying atop the tower. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Fine Silver with a Proof Finish

Struck in 999/1000 fine silver, this coin has been struck to a Pristine Proof finish – the collector’s favourite and highest grade of finish found on collectable coins.

Your House of Windsor Silver 5oz Proof Coin will arrive presented in a deluxe presentation case with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Very Low Edition Limit

Larger coins are always extremely popular, with numerous sell-outs in previous years, and it’s not difficult to see why. Whether it be the low edition limits, the feel of a larger coin in your hands, or the intricate detail that can be added to a 65mm coin, the appeal of owning a coin significantly larger than circulated coinage is clear.

With a worldwide edition limit of just 450 and considering the popularity of larger coins, especially those commemorating royal anniversaries, this coin is expected to sell out quickly.
