Now, over a century later, Discovery continues to inspire visitors in Dundee - and for the very first time, her story is being honoured on an official UK coin.

Double-thickness, Sterling Silver £2

This stunning Piedfort edition has been struck from a double-thickness sterling silver blank, with selective gold-plating to the finest Proof standard. Piedfort coins are reserved only for the most prestigious Royal Mint issues, prized for their extra weight, depth, and rarity.

And this release is rarer still. With an edition limit of just 750 worldwide - less than half the edition limit of the popular HMS Belfast Piedfort - demand will far outstrip supply. Many collectors will miss out.
