Featuring the New Zealand 2013 Royal Baby Silver Coin which has already SOLD OUT
In recognition of the joyful occasion when the British Isles, Dominions and Commonwealth celebrated the birth of HRH Prince George on 22nd July, a set of exclusive new Silver Coin Covers was released from Australia, Canada and New Zealand - with a tiny edition limit of JUST 95 sets.
The covers are each part gold-foiled and feature stamps alongside a Silver Proof coin issued by each of the three countries.
Australia
Australia’s cover features two Birth of a Prince stamps with a picture of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge leaving hospital with the new Prince, postmarked on the 23rd July 2013.
It also features the HRH Prince George 2013 1oz Silver Coin, which depicts a stunning sculpted reverse design of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their new baby – and the name and birth date of Prince George.
New Zealand
New Zealand’s cover features two stamps picturing the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cradling Prince George as they leave hospital. Postmarked on the date of the christening – 23rd October 2013.
It also also features the 2013 Royal Baby Silver Proof Coin – the design is selectively gold-plated and carries the birth date and name of Prince George. This coin has a mintage of 1,500 and is SOLD OUT at New Zealand Post.
Canada
Canada’s cover features two stamps – using one of the official photographs showing the Duke and Duchess holding Prince George - which was taken by Kate’s father, Michael Middleton. Postmarked on the First Day of Issue 22nd October 2013.
It also features the Royal Infant with Toys Silver Coin. Enhanced with the addition of selective gold-plating, the reverse design features the ciphers of the Royal Couple flanked by two Canadian maple leaves, with baby themed accessories flowing along the outer edge of the design.
