*** Featuring a genuine piece of coal from the Titanic ***
Very few artifacts from the Titanic have been recovered from the 3800m depth the ship lies at, but this authentic lump of coal that would have been used to power the ship's steam engines was recovered back in 2000.
And in a remarkable feat of minting, a piece of this coal has been inlaid into this Silver Proof 3oz Coin.
The reverse features the Titanic ship in full colour and has been struck to an ultra-high relief, which is very noticeable on the deck of the ship alongside the iceberg it hit.
The obverse features the maiden voyage the ship was aiming to take, alongside the destination of the disaster. Furthermore, the obverse features two different perspectives of the deck, cabin and inner construction of the ship. It is in this intricate design where a piece of coal from the Titanic lays.
The final piece to behold is, quite simply, breathtaking.
