King George III Third Guinea
The unique Gold Third Guinea was only ever produced under the reign of King George III - the renowned Monarch who brought us the very first specifications of the 'modern' Sovereign.
Coins from this period are very collectable and are often absorbed into collections around the world, meaning they seldom appear on the secondary market.
But at over 200 years old, I've managed to get my hands on just 15 of these special Gold coins for our best collectors.
- Struck solely during the reign of King George III, over 200 years old
- Because of its short mintage period and unique denomination, the George III Third Guinea is a rare and sought-after coin among collectors.
- The Third Guinea was valued at 7 shillings (or one-third of a guinea, hence the name).
- The coin was specifically intended to facilitate government payments, especially to soldiers and workers, at a time when small-denomination gold coins were in short supply.
- Struck from 22-carat gold(the standard for British gold Sovereigns).
But remember, just 15 are available. And given their scarcity, we'll only be offering them on a first-come-first-served basis through enquiries only.
