Own the Iguanodon 50p BU Pack
The Iguanodon, known for its unique spike-like ‘thumbs’, was the second dinosaur to be discovered and described by Richard Owen in his ‘Dinosauria’ paper in 1842.
To celebrate the discovery of dinosaurs The Royal Mint authorised for a series of 50p coins to be released. The second 50p features the Iguanodon dinosaur.
Named after its iguana-like teeth, Iguanodon fossils gave palaeontologists the first clues that dinosaurs had been reptiles. The creature on this 50p has been designed by renowned British palaeo-artist Robert Nicholls, with expert guidance by the Earth Sciences Department of the Natural History Museum.
Struck by The Royal Mint to a pristine Brilliant Uncirculated finish, your coin will arrive in its official Royal Mint presentation pack.
What’s more, it’s available to you today for The Royal Mint issue price of JUST £10 (+p&p).
