Royal Mint 2008 BU Pack

The 2008 Royal Shield of Arms Brilliant Uncirculated pack includes seven coins from 1p - £1, issued after The Royal Mint’s competition to redesign the traditional British emblems to represent the innovation of the 21st century after decimalisation.

Matthew Dent’s resulting designs form a united heraldic design when the 1p – 50p coins are carefully arranged in a jigsaw style, revealing the shield of the Royal Arms.

The £1 coin depicts the completed shield, which is quartered to represent the England, Scotland and Ireland of the United Kingdom. EDGE INSCRIPTION: Decus et tutamen (an ornament and a safeguard)

As the set is no longer available from the Royal Mint we only have a limited quantity left to offer you, and sets from this year are particularly popular.

Each coin in the pack is struck to the Royal Mint’s Brilliant Uncirculated quality. Your collection will also be presented in the original Royal Mint packaging.

Don’t miss out on this exclusive opportunity to commemorate this historic year for generations to come.
