Prince Philip Proof £5 Coin - honouring his 70 years of service

During his lifetime, HRH the Duke of Edinburgh was well-respected for his steadfast support to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and his public service.

In fact, he stands as the longest serving consort in British history.

And fittingly, in 2017 when he retired from public duty, the Bailiwick of Guernsey released a Commemorative Proof £5 Coin to mark his incredible 70 years of service.

Proof Finish with 24-Carat Gold Ink Highlights

The crown has been finished to a pristine Proof collector quality with beautiful 24-carat gold ink highlight. Importantly the reverse design has been fully authorised by Buckingham Palace and Her Majesty.

The design was uniquely commissioned to pay tribute to the Duke’s public service – it features Prince Philip's Royal cypher, with the addition of an anchor and wreath representing his time in the Royal Navy.

This £5 coin was issued from a limited edition release of 4,950 coins. We have a small number of these coins still available to order, all you have to do is click ‘Add to Basket’ below to secure yours.
