The Normandy Landings Gold Plated 50p

The Normandy Landings Gold Plated 50p

Meticulously planned and courageously executed, D-Day turned the tide of the Second World War.

The largest amphibious assault in military history, this year we commemorate the 80th Anniversary.

And what makes this anniversary even more poignant, is that this is most likely the last major anniversary where the few surviving veterans are able to honour their D-Day comrades and indeed all those that gave their lives in the name of freedom.

Today, we honour and stand with them with the release of this new D-Day 80th Anniversary 50p Coin. Entitled Normandy Landings, the new 50p coin is the first in a superb new collection that maps out the turbulent events of D-Day and the Normandy invasion.

There are several features that make these new coins highly collectable:

  • Approved by Buckingham Palace and His Majesty the King
  • Minted in Great Britain
  • Plated in 24 Carat Gold
  • Brilliant Uncirculated Finish

Given the importance of this national commemoration, demand is expected to be extremely high.
