UK 2020 VE Day £2 BU Pack

To mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, a United Kingdom £2 was authorised for release.

On 8th May 1945, Allied forces of WWII accepted the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany. The day came to be known as Victory in Europe Day, or VE Day for short. It ultimately signalled the end of the Second World War, and was without a doubt a world-changing event.

Upon Germany’s defeat more than one million people celebrated on the streets of Great Britain. Crowds gathered up the Mall to Buckingham Palace where King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and Prime Minister Winston Churchill appeared on the balcony to cheering crowds.

This £2 coin has been struck by The Royal Mint to a pristine Brilliant Uncirculated finish. The design captures the celebrations that took place across Britain on VE Day.

Your coin will arrive in its official Royal Mint presentation pack, so you can keep it safe and in pristine condition for generations to come.
