2020 UK Captain Cook CERTIFIED BU £2

This BRAND NEW 2020 UK £2 has been released by The Royal Mint to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of British Explorer Captain Cook setting sail on his legendary Voyage of Discovery.

This is the third and final £2 in the hugely popular Captain Cook collection and features a reverse design by Gary Breeze depicting the bow of the HM Bark Endeavour, approaching Australia’s eastern coastline.

Inventive Design

Excitingly, when you place all three coins in the collection together, the inventive design of each coin comes together like a jigsaw puzzle to reveal the overall depiction of Cook’s famous ship!

Captain Cook’s pioneering expedition for the ‘Great South Land’ expanded our understanding of the world beyond known horizons and so it seems only fitting for the anniversary to be celebrated with this unique £2 coin which completes the series.

What’s more, this coin has been specially struck to a superior Brilliant Uncirculated quality – the standard favoured among collectors.
