An official new United Kingdom £2 has been issued to celebrate 75 years since the D-Day landings.
On 6th June 1944, Allied forces came by land, sea and air and would eventually bring about the liberation of Europe and ultimately the end of the Second World War. Codenamed Operation Overlord, D-Day was without a doubt a world-changing event.
This new £2 coin has been struck by The Royal Mint to a pristine Brilliant Uncirculated finish. The design captures the magnitude of the operation and is inspired by military maps, featuring the codenames of the 5 beaches – Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword.
Just 750 available worldwide - OVER 50% ALREADY SOLD!
But this isn’t the first D-Day release by The Royal Mint – back in 1994 they issued a highly collectable 50p paying tribute to 50 years since the iconic invasion.
Now, to celebrate the 75th anniversary, JUST 750 have been set aside to be included in an exclusive DateStamp™ Pair alongside the ORIGINAL 1994 D-Day 50p.
This provides you with an extremely limited way to own this new £2 coin along with a highly sought after Royal Mint back-issue. Your coin will be officially postmarked by Royal Mail with the date 06.06.2019 - exactly 75 years to the day of the D-Day landings.
What’s more, each coin comes protectively sealed in a tamper-proof numismatic capsule with its own unique serial number so you can even register it online to receive your official DateStamp™ registration certificate.
Remember, because of the special one-day-only postmark, just 750 of these pairs will ever be made available. Since its release on the 6th June, OVER 50% have already been sold. A sell-out is highly likely, so we highly recommend placing your order now!
Don’t miss out, secure yours today.
