This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. One of the greatest Aerial campaigns in military history that ultimately saved Britain from German invasion.

In recognition of the anniversary, I am proud to announce the release of the Battle of Britain 80th Anniversary Spitfire £5 Proof Coin. Approved by Buckingham Palace and HM The Queen, the design depicts the iconic Supermarine Spitfire and has been finished with the exquisite addition of selective 24ct gold plating.

But today, you have the exciting opportunity to become the proud owner of this BRAND NEW official £5 coin that has been flown in an original WWII Spitfire plane.

Flown on Spitfire NH341

On July 23rd 2020, a limited number of Proof £5 coins were flown in a Spitfire (NH341) by Flight Lieutenant Antony Parkinson ‘Parky’, MBE. The coins were safely stored in the Spitfire’s wing bays during the fight, which, because of the limited space meant only a VERY limited quantity of coins could be taken into the sky.

The coin you can own today is from a strict edition limit of just 1,000 coins and what’s more, they have each been personally signed by Flight Lieutenant Antony Parkinson ‘Parky’, MBE.

So I’m sure you can appreciate what a genuinely rare collectable these will instantly become. Demand is expected to exceed the availability, if you wish to secure one for your collection, you need to act quickly.
