2016 UK 90th Birthday £5

To celebrate the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II The Royal Mint issued a commemorative £5 coin.

This £5 coin features a design by Christopher Hobbs on the reverse depicting nine roses – one for each decade of Her Majesty’s life. The obverse features the fifth portrait of Her Majesty the Queen, designed by Royal Mint engraver Jody Clark.

Queen Elizabeth II was the first ever British monarch to celebrate their 90th Birthday, which makes this a hugely significant event for collectors around the world.

As this coin is no longer available at The Royal Mint and due to the high demand surrounding Queen Elizabeth II commemorative coins, demand for this £5 is exceptionally high.
