The Royal Mint has released 26 10p coin designs. Their theme is the A to Z of Britain and each coin combines a letter of the alphabet with an aspect of quintessential Britishness.
This is the first time The Royal Mint has produced a series of commemorative 10p coins and each 10p coin has been struck in .925 Sterling Silver to a Proof finish.
G – Greenwich Mean Time
This 10p features a globe design with the letter ‘G’ and represents Greenwich Mean Time. Greenwich Mean Time is the mean solar time at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London, which has been the national centre of time since 1675. GMT was officially adopted by Parliament on the 2 August 1880.
Importantly, each coin has a strict limited edition presentation of JUST 15,000 pieces worldwide. As Official Distributors we’ve secured a limited stock of these coins but we expect a full sell-out.
Each coin will arrive protectively encapsulated and ready to display in its contemporary Perspex presentation block.
