JUST £14.99: The Crown inspired by Queen Elizabeth II's wedding dress

** LIMITED STOCK REMAINING **

In 2017, Queen Elizabeth II and her "strength and stay" Prince Philip marked their Platinum Wedding Anniversary. In doing so, they became the FIRST British Monarch and Consort to reach 70 years of marriage...

To mark the occasion, this stunning superior Brilliant Uncirculated Crown Coin was officially approved by the Platinum couple and Buckingham Palace. And given the likelihood that this occasion will never be seen again within our lifetimes, the appetite for commemorative coins was astronomical and remains so today.

Inspired by The Queen's wedding dress

The intricate reverse design features patterning inspired from the lace of Her Majesty’s wedding gown that now sits on display for the public in Buckingham Palace, along with the inscription ’70 Platinum Wedding Anniversary’.

Designed by Sir Norman Hartnell, the dress quickly became a centrepiece for British fashion

And due to rationing measures in place following World War II, clothing ration coupons had to be saved up to purchase the materials – including duchesse satin, pearl, crystal and transparent applique tulle embroidery.
