Whilst each obverse has been created by Martin Jennings, the design has been reworked for the Coronation 50p to feature a crowned portrait of His Majesty.

This breaks from the tradition of male monarchs being uncrowned on UK coins and has been especially created for the UK Coronation coin range, making for a unique collecting opportunity.
