Mark the 75th Anniversary of D-Day with 4 Allied Nations Coins

The 75th Anniversary of D-Day this year has seen some incredible commemorative issues, and this is one of the best.

Featuring four carefully chosen commemorative coins from four world renowned Mints and including The Royal Mint’s 75th Anniversary of D-Day £2 coin as the centrepiece, these commemorative issues have been brought together for the first time in the remarkable 75th Anniversary of D-Day Allied Nations Coin Pack.

The coins included with this extraordinary set are:

United Kingdom £2 - The reverse has been designed by renowned Royal Mint engraver, Stephen Taylor, and features five arrows each pointing across the English Channel to Normandy. Each arrow also has the code name used for each of beaches where the Allied troops landed: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword.

Australia $2 – the intricate design on this Australian $1 shows a flight of planes all heading in a single direction with the Australian Kangaroo featured at the bottom of the image. Carefully designed by Bronwyn King, this unique coin pays tribute to the Australian soldiers who fought on D-Day.

Canada $2 – this new issue from the renowned Royal Canadian Mint follows their proud tradition of honouring Canada’s rich military heritage with commemorative $2 coins. The design, by Alan Daniel, features unique touches of selective colour to honour this most special anniversary.

Belgium 5 Euro – designed by Luc Luycx, this remarkable 5 euro features a map of Normandy with arrows pointing across to the beaches where troops landed on D-Day. The reverse of the coin shows a map of Europe with ‘Belgium’ in the country’s three languages: French, Dutch and German.
