UK 1973 Entry to the EEC 50p

Issued in 1973 to commemorate the UK’s accession to the European Economic Council (now known as the European Union), this 50p is the FIRST-EVER commemorative 50p.

Historically, this 50 pence piece has been extremely popular with collectors as it is the first-ever commemorative 50p issued in the United Kingdom.

Struck in the larger size 50p specifications, this coin is no longer in circulation.

What’s more, since the ‘Brexit Vote’ this 50p has become even more sought-after by collectors hoping to secure the coin which commemorates the United Kingdom’s Entry to the EEC!

Because of this, these 50p coins are now incredibly hard to source.

I have managed to secure a handful of these for Westminster Collectors but I urge you to act quickly if you want to secure one for your collection.

Your UK 1973 Entry to the EEC 50p has been protectively encapsulated in official Change Checker packaging, ready to slot into your Change Checker Album!
