2017 UK WWI Aviation CERTIFIED BU £2

In commemoration of the Centenary of the First World War, The Royal Mint has issued a series of specially commissioned £2 coins. This is the fourth coin in a five-part series and it pays tribute to the aviators of the First World War and their sacrifices in the race for supremacy of the skies.

Designed by tangerine, it features the Royal Aircraft Factory R.E.8, a commonly used reconnaissance aircraft during WW1, performing a reconnaissance flight over an area of the Battle of Arras in April 1917. Whilst the obverse shows the Jody Clark portrait of Her Majesty the Queen.

This specially struck £2 coin comes securely encapsulated and as a Change Checker CERTIFIED BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED issue, you'll know your coin will be protected forever and guaranteed by its Certified Hologram.
