Prestigious Piedfort celebrates the legendary Warrior Queen Boudicca – JUST £25

Boudicca was queen of the Iceni people of Eastern England and led a major uprising against occupying Roman forces in AD 60/61. After her husband’s tragic death in war, Boudicca’s warriors went on to destroy London and Verulamium (St Albans), claiming it back from Roman forces.

As a hero in British folk law, her fearlessness in the face of adversity has been praised for encouraging future great leaders.

Renowned Artistry

The coins design features a specially commissioned depiction of Boudicca, along with a scene showing the uprising in AD 60/61, by renowned artist David Young.

Struck to Piedfort specification, this coin is double the thickness of a normal coin and weighs twice as much. What’s more, it has been expertly plated in 24ct Gold and struck to a flawless Proof finish. Proof coins have the highest grade of finish found on coins and are produced using a specially prepared die and struck several times to ensure enhanced definition.

PIEDFORT COINS a rich collecting history

Its extra weight and thickness served as a powerful physical reminder of the richness of the kingdom and skill of its artisans.
