New 50p Coin Cover Celebrates the Cricket World Cup

Marking this year’s Cricket World Cup, hosted in England and Wales, a superb new 50p Coin Cover has been authorised for release.

Combining our country’s rich cricketing heritage and the modern game, each cover features the Official ICC Cricket World Cup 50p coin and the Royal Mail’s WG Grace Cricket stamps issued in 1973 - now almost 50 not out.

Brand New 50p coin – ICC Approved

The official ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 50p BU coin is fully approved by the ICC and features a specially commissioned design of the official tournament logo.

The coin has been struck to a Brilliant Uncirculated finish, and is one of just 1000 that have been allocated for use in the cover.  And when you consider the mintage limit of the coin is 65,000, you realise that this will almost certainly be the smallest edition presentation of the new 50p coin that you’re likely to see.

Official Royal Mail stamps

Paired alongside the coin is the complete set of 1973 Royal Mail Cricket stamps. Featuring English cricket legend WG Grace, they were only the second sport-related stamps EVER issued (behind England’s 1966 World Cup winning triumph) and as such are firmly established as a collector’s favourite.

The cover also features Royal Mail’s 2nd Class ‘Three Lions’ Definitive stamp, and has been officially postmarked by Royal Mail on the first day of the Cricket World Cup, with the location of the VERY FIRST game, the Oval.

Just 1000 covers available worldwide

There are an estimated 2.5 billion Cricket fans worldwide. However, because of the stamps’ limited availability, the edition limit has been set to just 1000.  When you do the maths, that means only 1 in every 2.5 million cricket fans can own one! And you could be one of them.

From a collector’s point of view, the decision is obvious.  Featuring THE official 50p coin to the Cricket World Cup and 46 year old stamps that are well established as a firm collectors favourite, demand is sure to be high.

Your cover will come presented in a Deluxe Presentation Folder alongside its accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.  It will also be numbered, confirming its position within the strict edition limit.

Demand is expected to be VERY high, and many collectors are sure to miss out. Order today to guarantee your cover.
