This historic coin, the Queen Elizabeth II Gillick portrait Gold Sovereign, was struck between 1957 and 1968. The design features the youthful Queen and was created by Mary Gillick, from which the coin is accordingly named. The reverse features, in line with tradition, the famous Pistrucci design of St George & the Dragon.
Struck in 22 Carat Gold by the Royal Mint, this effigy of Queen Elizabeth II was the first of four designs to have so far featured on her coinage! The coin is housed in a beautiful presentation box and comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
