The Royal Mint has recreated the St George and the Dragon design using original tools that Pistrucci would have used in the 1820's.

The design also differs from the usual sovereign with there being no streamer on the helmet. This pays tribute to the design that was first used in 1817 making this new 2009 version both a historic and unique coin to add to your collection.
