This black and white £5 note is known as a Provincial Banknote. During then 1800s, many banks were formed, but most went bankrupt. In the case of the Stamford, Spalding and Boston Note, the bank was absorbed by a larger competitor.
The Banknote has been cancelled by a triangular cut mark, and has cancellation stamps on the reverse. It comes complete with an Information Card and Page.
