These magnificent stamps evoke memories of the jubilant scenes that swept the country as the public celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne.
The centrepiece of the collection are the 5 stamps that were specifically issued for the Jubilee. Designed by Richard Guyatt, the design bore similarities to the George V stamps of 1935 that had been issued to mark his Silver Jubilee - the only other Royal Jubilee commemorative stamp set that had ever previously been issued.
The collection also contains the stamps from the five other themes commemorated in 1977 - Racket Sports, The Centenary of the Royal Institute of Chemistry, The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, British Wildlife and Christmas.
