The 2017 Silver Proof Tom Kitten 50p coin has been released to celebrate one of Beatrix Potter's most loved children's tales, 'The tale of Tom Kitten'.
Issued by The Royal Mint and struck in 925/1000 Silver to an immaculate Proof finish, this is the first UK coin to feature Tom Kitten.
The reverse design features a full colour image of Tom Kitten designed by Emma Noble while the obverse features the fifth definitive portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
The Tom Kitten 50p is protectively encapsulated and ready to display in its contemporary Perspex presentation block.
Importantly, it has a strict edition limit of just 30,000 individual coins and is completely sold out at the Mint.
