One of the first 500 Princess Charlotte coins struck

On the 2nd May 2015 at St Mary’s Hospital the nation welcomed a new addition to the Royal Family, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

To celebrate the safe arrival of Prince George’s little sister, the Royal Mint issued a special commemorative coin.

With a design that reflects the coin struck for the christening of Prince George, the designer John Bergdahl turned to Royal traditions and the famous Lily Font for inspiration, creating an elegant reverse design with block cartouche and decorative inscriptions.

One of the first 500 struck

Out of an edition limit of 9,500, the first 500 coins minted were kept a side as a special tribute to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second child.

This limited presentation coin captures the rush and excitement of the newborn’s arrival, as this Silver Proof £5 crown was one of the first 500 struck by the Royal Mint - a fact guaranteed by its NGC slabbed presentation and Royal Mint certificate of authenticity.

Celebrate the arrival of the new Princess

A favorite amongst collectors, the £5 coin has a long tradition of being recognised as the UK's most important commemorative coin. This is notably the first crown coin to feature the new ‘Jody Clark’ portrait of Princess Charlotte’s great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. With a design that reflects the coin struck for the christening of Prince George, John Bergdahl has once again turned to Royal traditions and the famous Lily Font for inspiration, creating an elegant composition with block cartouche and decorative inscriptions

We have a very limited stock available for collectors from the first 500 struck by the Royal Mint – after extensive sourcing we have managed to secure just 15 coins and they will not be available for long.
