A NumisProof ‘First’ to commemorate Her Majesty the Queen's Sapphire Jubilee

A special limited edition silver NumisProof has been issued to mark Her Majesty the Queen's Sapphire Jubilee that contains a genuine sapphire – the first of its kind.

This year Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II celebrates 65 years on the throne – the first monarch in British history ever to do so.

To mark this significant milestone in Her Majesty’s record-breaking reign the NumisProof Committee has made a very significant decision. To issue this NumisProof like no other.

The sapphire has been expertly set into the obverse of the 2oz Sterling Silver NumisProof, to represent Her Majesty’s 65 years on the throne and the sense of national celebration.

The reverse features an image of Her Majesty from her Diamond Jubilee reproduced in full colour using some of the most advanced numismatic printing techniques, enshrining the historic moment forever.

NumisProofs are already a complex piece for the Mint to produce. And with the addition of a genuine sapphire, you’ll appreciate it is even more difficult. That’s why a total mintage of just 495 pieces has been confirmed for the Sapphire Jubilee 2oz Silver NumisProof.

These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so order yours now to avoid missing out.
