2019 UK Falcon of the Plantagenets CERTIFIED BU £5

When Her Majesty the Queen was crowned in 1953, the entrance to Westminster Abbey was guarded by ten fantastical creatures - The Queen's Beasts.

The magnificent Falcon of the Plantagenets beast is steeped in history and came to the Queen through Edward IV.

The reverse of this £5 coin features Jody Clark's depiction of a Falcon perched on top of the shield with a partially open fetterlock in its grasp. Originally closed, the slightly open fetterlock supposedly refers to Edward IV claim to the throne. Whilst the obverse features the fifth portrait of Her Majesty the Queen, also designed by Jody Clark.

What's more, this UK £5 coin has been protectively encapsulated and certified as superior Brilliant Uncirculated, ensuring the pristine quality that collectors appreciate.

This coin is no longer available from The Royal Mint, but you can secure the Brilliant Uncirculated issue today for just £29.99.
